[EN] Inflammatory Bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic gastrointestinal disorder of unknow etiology that affects many people of all ages. This research is conducted due to there is little scientific evidence about relationship between the disease and psychological variables. The aim of this study focuses on the psychological evaluation and subsequent intervention with Biofeedback in people who have inflammatory bowel disease. The design used is repeated measures and a sample of three patients. The results obtained partially support the idea that IBD patients have a high stress symptoms, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and low self-esteem and quality of life. However, the results obtained for the physiological variables demonstrate the usefulness and effectiveness of biofeedback for the management and control of stress and/or anxiety.
