One of the most important problems in the olive grove is the loss of soil as a result of conventional practices. Therefore, in this work a meta-analysis has been carried out between plots with vegetation cover and plots without vegetation cover in the region of Andalusia over a study period, focusing on the influence of vegetation cover on the cultivation of olive groves compared to conventional cultivation, on issues such as the loss of fertile soil, as well as the capacity for water and nutrient retention. As a result, it was found that vegetation cover implies a really significant improvement in soil loss, as well as in most nutrient and fertility parameters.
