In this work I will analyze the main characteristics of these companies and I will deal specifically with the issue of family succession. The succession in a company is a taboo subject, wwhich in many cases is taken for granted and nor even formalized. My clear example is the company J. A. F. MOBILIARI. SL, which is a very small company dedicated to the manufacture of forniture, in which there is no succession plan or family protocol.
