HACER COMUNIDAD A GOLPE DE RIFF UNA EXPERIENCIA DE TRABAJO COMUNITARIO DESDE EL ÁMBITO UNIVERSITARIO A TRAVÉS DE LA GESTIÓN CULTURAL Y EL USO DE LA MÚSICA METAL COMO AGENTE DE CAMBIO: ROCK & METAL ENCOUNTER.

Abstract

[ES]El presente trabajo muestra un proceso de investigación en el que utilizando la autoetnografía se han analizado las posibilidades de intervención comunitaria que puede ofrecer un proyecto cultural sobre música metal desde el ámbito universitario. Por tanto, articula las diferentes conexiones entre el arte como herramienta de cambio social, el compromiso y responsabilidad social universitaria en el desarrollo de su contexto, así como el uso de la gestión cultural realizada desde la Institución Universitaria y su potencialidad para el desarrollo cultural comunitario, en este caso a través del uso vehicular de la música metal. Por último, deviene en la resistencia existente a otras formas de expresión artística marginalizadas por el arte hegemónico y las tradicionales convenciones académicas sobre las temáticas y las metodologías de investigación, específicamente sobre los estudios en música metal. [EN]This paper summarizes a research process through self-ethnography in which I analize the possibility of using a university sponsored cultural project based on metal music to foster community formation. Therefore, I reflect on the use of art as a tool for social change, the university’s role and commitment in developing its context, the use of cultural activities created within the university and their role in community development, in this case through metal music. Lastly, I reflect on other forms of artistic expression marginalized by hegemonic art and academic traditions that aim to determine what constitutes appropriate subject matterfor study and research strategies to address them; specifically, those associated to metal studies.
