[EN]Nowadays, there is a progressive aging of the population and, consequently, there is a growing number of people suffering cognitive changes related with age. The executive functions are some of the cognitive functions most sensitive to the aging process and one of its components is closely related to independence and autonomy, inhibition. The aim of this work is to explore the inhibition in the regular aging process using different measures (Stroop test, Wisconsin card sorting test and verbal fluency test). The sample of 60 people was divided into three groups, of 20 participants each one, and taking as a criterion of classification the age (Youth: from 18 to 39 years, Adults: from 40 to 59 years and Elderly: 60 years and older). The obtained results indicate significant differences between these groups, besides putting in evidence that the effects of age, on the capacity inhibition, depend on the nature of the task used (type of measure, type of irrelevant information, type of stimulus)
