Fibromialgia y Disfunciones Sexuales: Una Revisión Sistemática.

Abstract

El Síndrome de la Fibromialgia (SFM) es una enfermedad que causa dolor crónico generalizado alteraciones en el sueño, fatiga, trastornos cognitivos, ansiedad, depresión y muchos otros síntomas, afectando la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Uno de los inconvenientes más frecuentes de estos pacientes son las disfunciones sexuales y descenso de la líbido. El objetivo es realizar una Revisión Sistemática Sobre el SFM y las Disfunciones Sexuales. Método: Búsqueda en las bases de datos PumMed, Scopus y Web of Science (WOS), mediante las pautas de Cochrane y la guía PRISMA. En la búsqueda bibliográfica se identificaron 67 artículos, pero sólo 14 artículos cumplieron con todos los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. En conclusión, los pacientes con SFM suelen tener alteradas todas las dimensiones de la función sexual, por lo cual, es conveniente que se siga investigando sobre SFM y disfunciones sexuales para mejorar la calidad de vida de estas personas.Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is a disease that causes generalized chronic pain, sleep disturbances, fatigue, cognitive disorders, anxiety, depression, and many other symptoms, which affect their quality of life. One of the most frequent problems raised by patients suffering from this disease are sexual dysfunctions and low libido. Objective: To carry out a Systematic Review on SFM and Sexual Dysfunctions. Method: Search in the electronic databases PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science (WOS), following the Cochrane guidelines and the PRISMA guide. In the bibliographic search, 67 articles were identified in the databases, but finally only 14 articles met all the inclusion criteria and were included. In conclusion, patients with FMS tend to have altered all dimensions of sexual function, and psychological variables such as depression seem to influence these dysfunctions. It is advisable to continue researching on FMS and sexual dysfunctions, to improve the quality of life of these people.
