Abstract

Las oraciones subordinadas con cuando han sido tratadas de distinta forma dependiendo de su función dentro de la oración. El objetivo principal de este trabajo consiste en caracterizar los tipos de oraciones introducidos por cuando con valor temporal. Estas proposiciones han sido definidas y tipificadas de manera diferente, por lo que resulta importante destacar aquellos aspectos en los que discrepan y en los que coinciden los distintos autores que han abordado su estudio. Además de una revisión bibliográfica sobre las oraciones con cuando, este trabajo ofrece el análisis y la tipificación de 100 ejemplos extraídos de textos escritos con el motor de búsqueda del CREA.Subordinate clauses introduced by when have been studied at different levels depending on the role they play within the main clause. In essence, this paper aims at defining and establishing the kinds of constructions observed taking as a base adverb-functioning when. It can also be noticed how these propositions have been termed differently by several scholars. Therefore, to establish comparisons between them is deem compulsory in order to highlight their converging view-point, as well as those aspects in which their opinion differ. Data analysis will help both to illustrate the most prominent features to be commented on along this paper, and to prove the different stances adopted by the scholars.
