Resumen
Introduccion: La diabetes mellitus es una enfermedad crónica muy prevalente. Un adecuado control de la glucemia se considera clave para disminuir sus complicaciones. Objetivos: El objetivo principal ha sido analizar la eficacia de los dispositivos tecnológicos de control de la diabetes en la disminución del número de pacientes dependientes de cuidados. Metodología: Estudio de revisión sistemática Resultados: La monitorización continua de glucosa disminuye significativamente las cifras de Hb A1c, sobre todo cuando se combina con infusión continua de insulina subcutánea. Esto se traduce en un descenso notable de las complicaciones vasculares de la diabetes y por tanto en la reducción de la discapacidad que ocasiona esta enfermedad. Conclusiones: El uso de dispositivos tecnológicos para el control intensivo de la glucemia en la diabetes disminuye la frecuencia y gravedad de las complicaciones asociadas a esta enfermedad, disminuyendo la discapacidad en estos pacientes y por tanto la dependencia de cuidados.

Objectives: The main objective has been to analyze the effectiveness of technological devices for diabetes control in reducing the number of patients dependent on care. Methodology: Systematic review study Results: Continuous glucose monitoring significantly decreases Hb A1c levels, especially when combined with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion. This translates into a notable decrease in the vascular complications of diabetes and therefore in the reduction of the disability caused by this disease. Conclusions: The use of technological devices for intensive glycemic control in diabetes decreases the frequency and severity of complications associated with this disease, reducing disability in these patients and therefore care dependency.
