(EN)This master's thesis analyzes age-friendly city plans in Spain, an initiative promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to create urban environments that are accessible and supportive of active aging. Through a review of plans from various Spanish cities, the study examines the implementation of these initiatives, highlighting both their successes and challenges. Key factors such as the active participation of older people in the design and evaluation of the plans, the appropriate duration of the projects, and the importance of clear and precise planning are identified. Additionally, the fundamental role of social work in creating inclusive environments that respect and promote the autonomy of older people is discussed. Finally, recommendations are made to improve the sustainability and effectiveness of these public policies, with the aim of building more inclusive cities adapted to the needs of an aging population.
