Estudio Jurídico de la Controversia Internacional en torno a las Aguas de Gibraltar

Abstract

La finalidad de este Trabajo de Fin de Grado es analizar la controversia en torno a Gibraltar, originada en 1713 con la cesión del territorio en cuestión y vigente en la actualidad. Se realizará un análisis tanto del Tratado de Utrecht, como de la normativa internacional aplicable, y se hará especial referencia tanto a la Unión Europea, dado su importante papel en el conflicto, como a Naciones Unidas y su política de descolonización. También, la delimitación de las fronteras, tomarán un importante papel en este trabajo, pues son el foco del conflicto en la actualidad.

This final degree project’s purpose is to analyse the controversy regarding Gibraltar, which it was originated in territory cession in 1713 with regard to and in force currently. An analysis will be fulfilled both the Utrecht Treaty and applicable international regulations. Furthermore, a special reference will be distinguished to the European Union due to its important role in the conflict and to the United Nations, regarding its decolonization policy. Finally, another essential role in this project is related to borders’ delimitations because of they are the focal point of the conflict currently.
