Resumen
[ES] La teoría de juegos estudia cómo deben relacionarse los agentes cuando sus intereses se enfrentan a situaciones de conflicto. En este trabajo se estudia el mercado de los limones y se presentan soluciones a este tipo de problemas. Se analizan conceptos como la información perfecta e imperfecta, la selección adversa y la señalización que el economista George Akerlof desarrolla en su artículo “The market for Lemons”, por el que principalmente recibió el premio Nobel de Economía en 2001.
[EN] Game theory studies how agents interact each other when their interests face conflicting situations. In this work, we study “The market of the lemons” and we present some solutions for this problem. Some concepts like perfect information, imperfect information, adverse selection and signaling are analyzed. They were developed by the economist George Akerlof in his article "The market for Lemons", for which he received the Economic Sciences Nobel prize in 2001.
