Intervención asistida con animales en personas con Trastorno de Espectro Autista. Una revisión bibliográfica

Abstract

Desde tiempos atrás los animales han formado parte de la historia de los humanos, hasta el punto de crear un vínculo con ellos, el cual ha permitido indagar aún más en los beneficios que puede suponer para los seres humanos el contacto con animales. De tal modo, ya son diversos campos profesionales los que han indagado acerca de la temática, incluyendo a los animales en las intervenciones con distintos colectivos vulnerables, entre los que se encuentra el colectivo de personas con Trastorno de Espectro Autista, el cual puede beneficiarse de dichas intervenciones. El presente trabajo, consiste en una revisión bibliográfica a fin de indagar en dichas intervenciones y en los beneficios que puede transmitir al colectivo, teniendo presente el rol dell/a trabajador/a social a lo largo de dicho proceso. Conociendo, por tanto, las diversas intervenciones que se pueden llevar a cabo, las particularidades y naturaleza del trastorno de espectro autista, además de la importancia de la/el trabajador/a social

Since time immemorial, animals have been part of the history of humans, to the point of creating a bond with them, which has allowed to further investigate the benefits that contact with animals can bring to human beings. Thus, there are already several professional fields that have inquired about the subject, including animals in interventions with different vulnerable groups, among which is the group of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, which can benefit from such interventions. The present work consists of a bibliographic review in order to investigate these interventions and the benefits that can be transmitted to the group, bearing in mind the role of the social worker throughout the process. Knowing therefore the different interventions that can be carried out, the particularities and nature of the autism spectrum disorder, as well as the importance of the social worker
