[EN]This MA project seeks to offer some insights on the role of culture when teaching Spanish as a second language/L2 Spanish. In order to analyse how culture is approached and included in the teaching-learning process, this work will review various coursebooks of L2 Spanish. Its theoretical foundations will justify the importance and benefits of focusing on cultural components. Relying on the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Teaching (CEFR) and Plan Curricular of Instituto Cervantes, this work will then develop a pedagogical proposal targeted at, and adapted to, a group of students with a proficiency level matching CEFR B1-level. The cultural project presented therein aims to complement the work carried out through other pedagogical materials used in the classroom. Thus, it enriches the teaching-learning process so that the students can acquire a level of cultural competence that will help them achieve distinct linguistic, communicative and cultural goals.
