Boosting speaking skills in EFL after the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown: A didactic proposal

Resumen
[ES] En este proyecto se pretende diseñar una unidad didáctica con el objetivo de fomentar las destrezas
orales en los alumnos de cuarto curso de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO) tras el confinamiento.
Para ello, se presentará en primer lugar un marco teórico en el que se analizarán aspectos como las
destrezas orales, los factores que dificultan el desarrollo de estas habilidades en el alumnado y el impacto
que ha tenido el Covid-19 en el rendimiento de los estudiantes en cuanto a las destrezas orales. Además,
se examinará la metodología Suggestopedia, ya que se aplican algunas de las técnicas de este enfoque en
la unidad didáctica. Tras realizar la revisión bibliográfica, se presentará la unidad didáctica que se ha
elaborado para este trabajo.
[EN] In this project it is intended to design a didactic unit with the objective of fostering speaking skills in students in the fourth year of Compulsory Secondary Education (CSE) after the confinement. For this purpose, a theoretical framework will first be presented in which aspects such as the oral skills, the factors that hinder the development of these skills among students and the impact that Covid has had on students’ speaking performance will be analysed. Moreover, the Suggestopedia methodology will be discussed, as some of the techniques of this approach are applied in the lesson plan. After carrying out the bibliographical review, the lesson plan that has been created for this dissertation will be presented.
