LA INTERACCIÓN HUMANOANIMAL Y SU INFLUENCIA EN LA FELICIDAD SUBJETIVA

Resumen
[ES]En la actualidad ha aumentado significativamente la tenencia de animales de
compañía, esto puede deberse a los beneficios que aporta el vínculo humano-animal en
la salud de las personas, tanto a nivel fisiológico como a nivel psicosocial. El objetivo
del presente estudio ha sido comprobar si existían diferencias significativas en los
niveles de felicidad subjetiva entre personas que son propietarias de mascota en
comparación con aquellas personas que no lo son, con una población compuesta por
adultos-jóvenes, estudiantes de la Universidad de Jaén del Grado de Psicología. La
muestra estaba formada por 136 personas, de las cuales 65 eran propietarios de mascota
y 71 no eran propietarias de mascota. Se evaluó la felicidad subjetiva, la satisfacción
con la vida y el afecto, tanto el positivo como el negativo.
Los resultados encontrados pusieron de manifiesto que no existen diferencias
significativas, entre las personas que son propietarias de mascota frente aquellas que no
lo son, en la escala de felicidad subjetiva, en la de satisfacción con la vida y en la del
afecto negativo. Sin embargo, si se encontraron diferencias significativas en la medida
del afecto positivo ya que obtuvieron puntuaciones más altas los hombres que las
mujeres.
[EN]At the present day, has significatly increase a tendency of having companion animals, this may be due to the benefits of the human-animal bond which have an impact in both levels: healthy and physiological ones. The aim of the present study was to determinate if there were relevant diferences in levels of subjective happiness among people who own pets compared to those who are not owners, with a population composed of adult-youth, all students of the University of Jaen Grade Psychology. The sample consisted of 136 people, of which 65 were pet owners and 71 were not owners of a pet. . Subjective happiness, satisfaction with life and affection were evaluated. This last one both, positively and negatively. The results showed no significant differences between people who have companion animals by comparison with those who do not have them in fields such as rating scale of subjective happiness, quality of life and in the scale of negative affection. However, significant differences were found in the measurement of positive affection, having men higher scores than women.
