(EN)Nowadays, excessive and problematic use of social networking sites has become a widespread phenomenon among a large part of the population. Adolescents are particularly at risk of developing it, and studies point to negative repercussions of such excessive use on their mental health. Since social networks have become so pervasive in our society, it is necessary to learn how to use them in a way that is constructive rather than destructive to their users. For this reason, a nine-session intervention program based on the practice of mindfulness has been developed, through which we intend to teach adolescents in 1st and 2nd years of ESO to make a more conscious use of social networks. The expected results will be, therefore, an increase in the levels of mindfulness, a reduction in the problematic use of social networks and, therefore, an increase in the well-being of the participants.
