Using the Flipped Classroom for English Grammar Teaching

Resumen
[ES] En este trabajo se presentará una propuesta didáctica dirigida a una clase de inglés de cuarto de
Educación Secundaria Obligatoria. En ella, se trabajarán todas las destrezas y se empleará el método
flipped classroom para impartir el componente lingüístico de la gramática. En el marco teórico se hará un
recorrido por distintos métodos, desde los más tradicionales hasta otros más innovadores. Se describirá
en qué consiste el modelo de enseñanza flipped classroom y el impacto que tiene en la adquisición de
objetivos y desarrollo de competencias del alumnado. A continuación, se presentará la unidad didáctica
propuesta, atendiendo al marco legislativo actual y al contexto en el que se desarrolla. En dicha unidad
didáctica habrá actividades en las que se implementará el modelo flipped classroom, además de los
objetivos, contenidos, competencias, metodología y evaluación que se va a emplear. Se trata, por tanto,
de una propuesta educativa que pretenderá optimizar el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.
[EN] This work will present a didactic proposal aimed at an English class in the fourth year of Compulsory Secondary Education. In it, all the skills will be worked on, and the flipped classroom method will be used to teach the linguistic component of grammar. In the theoretical framework, we will go through different methods, from the most traditional to the most innovative ones. It will describe what the flipped classroom consists of and the impact it has on the acquisition of objectives and the development of student competences. Then, the proposed didactic unit will be presented, taking into account the current legislative framework and the context in which it is developed. In this didactic unit, there will be activities in which the flipped classroom will be implemented, as well as the objectives, contents, competences, methodology, and evaluation that will be used. It is, therefore, an educational proposal that aims to optimise the teaching and learning process.
