[EN] Halliday’s theory on language has different perspectives researchers can cover. This study will start from the idea he proposes about language as a key element for creating realities and how this can be applied to teaching in high school. The main topic is gender-based and the work tries to evaluate whether Halliday’s theory can be applied in a sexist context. Analysis relies upon a survey conducted to four groups of secondary education. This work examines their answers to test whether they are influenced by what is socially and politically correct or by what they truly believe. In addition to this, this work investigates whether students behave according to their beliefs or if they have sexist behaviors they do not consider as such.
