Resumen
[ES]La figura del director en los centros de enseñanza ha vivido en los últimos tiempos numerosos cambios que han cuestionado el término de líder y liderazgo. Por lo que, a lo largo de este Trabajo Fin de Grado se llevara a cabo la descripción de las funciones encomendadas al director de centros públicos, así como el conjunto de competencias, habilidades, actitudes que desempeña en el cargo. Debido a la necesidad de evolución que la sociedad suscita se han producido notables cambios respecto a la función directiva a lo largo de las diferentes leyes educativas vigentes en España y que no han dejado de lado a la Dirección. Analizaremos la situación de deterioro de la dirección escolar y de la función directiva así como los factores que han llevado a tal problemática. Se abordarán las diferencias existentes entre los distintos modelos de dirección escolar de los países europeos y EEUU.
[EN]The figure of the head teacher in schools in recent times has undergone numerous changes, which has called into question the terms ‘leader’, and ‘leadership’. Therefore, throughout this final project the roles entrusted to the head of schools will be described, as well as the set of skills, abilities, and attitudes carried out in this position. Due to the need for evolution which society calls for, great changes have been made with respect to the lead role throughout the different educational laws, which have been in force in Spain and within which school management has not been neglected. The deteriorating condition of school management and leadership roles and the factors that have led to such problems will be analysed. Furthermore, the differences between the various types of school management in European countries and EEUU.
