Nuevas tecnologías y envejecimiento activo: “Rediseñando la vejez”

Abstract

[ES]El envejecimiento poblacional constituye un fenómeno social con cada vez mayor repercusión en nuestro país. En el año 2050 se prevé que el 36,5% del total de la población tenga la edad de 65 o más años. Por su parte, el auge de las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación ha sido exponencial y hoy día las mismas determinan gran parte de las posibilidades de las personas mayores frente al ritmo de vida actual. En consideración con dicha realidad social, se elabora el presente proyecto de intervención para que a través de la participación voluntaria en actividades formativas destinadas al conocimiento y uso de nuevas tecnologías, las personas mayores puedan fortalecer sus vínculos relacionales, combatir la problemática de la soledad y envejecer de manera activa y saludable.

[EN]Aging of the population is a social reality of growing importance in our country. In the year 2050, 36.5% of all in habitants will be 65 or older. Parallel to this phenomenon, the rise of new technologies of information and communication is exponential in today’s world, and plays a key role in determining the possibilities of the elderly in confronting the fast pace of modern day life. Bearing this social reality in mind, the present Intervention Project is created with the goal of improving social relationships, reducing the problems associated with loneliness, and helping to age in an active and healthy manner, through voluntary participation in educational activities that will lead to learning about and using new technologies.
