Eating behavior disorders (EBD) are a group of psychological disorders related to permanent alteration in food consumption behavior, causing physical, mental and social problems. Traditionally, these disorders have been treated through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), the main objective of which is to correct the patient's mental schemes that lead him to have a distorted self-image. Dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) has recently begun to be used to treat eating disorders. This therapy is useful to control the symptoms of impulsivity that can occur. In addition, it is of great help in regulating emotions, helping the patient to control their reactions. This analysis aims to compare both therapies applied to the treatment of eating disorders. The theoretical basis, the form of application and the scientific evidence of each therapy are analyzed and their differences and similarities are observed in a comparative table.
