Resumen
Estudio experimental de anillos de vorticidad y burbujas con el fin de caracterizar el comportamiento de la interacción entre ambos. Para ello se han procesado numéricamente las imágenes obtenidas a través de técnicas PIV y cámaras de alta velocidad. La generación de burbujas se ha realizado de manera cuasiestatica y la de anillos de vorticidad a través de la inyección de agua por un orificio de diámetro conocido. Ambos compartirán un mismo eje axial para que la forma de la interacción esté definida . Finalmente, se describe el proceso de interacción de burbujas con anillos de vorticidad en función del numero de Weber y la relación de tamaños del torbellino y la burbuja
An experimental study has been performed to chaeracterize the interaction between bubbles and vortex rings . To do so, bubbles were quasi statically produced by inyecting air through a submerged needle and the vortex rings were generated by inyecting a given flowrate of water during a short period of time through an orifice of known diameter. The velocity field was obtained using Particle Image Velocimetry techniques, varying the size and the Reynolds number of the vortices. The evolution bubbles and their interaction has been obtained processing images recorded with a high speed camera.Finally, the interaction process of bubbles with vortex rings has been described interms of the Weber number and the vortex-to-bubble diameter ratio
