The rise in electricity rates has sparked the interest of big energy consumers such as commercial and residential buildings or even family homes to reduce their energy use. This project proposes a connected device and a control system to manage and reduce the use of energy. The system is designed for smart plugs to wirelessly provide voltage, current power and consumption data to the user. These data are used in order to analyze, monitor and control the electrical consumption of a home and to generate control command to turn on or off the elements connected to the device.
