Resumen
[ES] La Unión Europea nace en 1945 con el anhelo de una Europa pacífica, unida y prosperante. Desde entonces ha habido varios tratados, y se han ido sumando países a la UE. En junio de 1999 el Consejo Europeo de Colonia estima oportuno elaborara una Carta de derechos fundamentales de la Unión Europea, y en diciembre de 2000 sucede la proclamación de dicha Carta, cuyo contenido lo fudamentan 6 títulos bajo las rúbricas de dignidad, igualdad, solidaridad, ciudadanía y justicia. En total, lo conforman 54 artículos, derechos todos ellos que deben ser defendidos y fomentados. En 2009 entra en vigor el Tratado de Lisboa, que tiene como objetivo aumentar la democracia, la eficacia y la transparencia de la UE. Además de lograrlo, este Tratado consigue concentrar todos los derechos de las personas en un mismo texto, y hace que la Carta de Derechos fundamentales adjunta pase a ser jurídicamente vinculante, por lo que posee el mismo valor jurídico que los Tratados.
[EN] The European Union is born in 1945 with the longing of a pacific and united Europe. Since then there have been several agreements, and conutries have been adding to the EU. In June, 1999 the European Council of Cologne thought it was apt to write a Letter of fundamental rights of the European Union, and in December 2000 the aforementioned letter was proclaimed of the above mentioned Letter, 6 titles base which content under the paragraphs of dignity, equality, solidarity, citizenship and justice. In total, it 54 articles, rights shape all of them that they must be defended and promoted. In 2009 the agreement of Lisbon came into force, which has as aim increase the democracy, the efficiency and the transparency of the EU. Besides achieving it, this Agreement manages to concentrate all the rights of the persons in one.
