Resumen
Los medios de comunicación ofrecen a diario situaciones de conflicto y violencia en
muchos ámbitos, como pueden ser sociales, deportivos o políticos. Sin embargo, otro
porcentaje de estas noticias está relacionado con situaciones de acoso y violencia en contextos
escolares.
Por ello, resulta importante profundizar en términos que hacen referencia a situaciones de
este tipo y que, en ocasiones, son confundidos o mal interpretados. Se contemplan, por un
lado, los relacionados con aspectos negativos, tales como " bullying", y por otro, aquellos que
corresponden a aspectos positivos, como el concepto de "valor".
Además, se hace necesario encontrar instrnmentos que mitiguen estas situaciones, por lo
que, el deporte, como transmisor de valores, se convierte en una herramienta óptima para
formar al alumnado.
En esta línea, la propuesta de prevención toma sentido, haciendo uso de un deporte
colectivo como es el baloncesto, con el que valores, como el respeto y la tolerancia, se hacen
más fáci les de asimilar.
