Coherence and cohesion are two crucial aspects when it comes to giving text meaning. In journalism, the different subgenres play with the multiple devices of both of them in order to mould the message according to the purpose: informative or persuasive. The main objective of this project is to analyse and compare which linguistic strategies are used in two examples of different journalistic text (one piece of news and one editorial) by means of the typical characteristics of the genre, context and the texture (coherence and cohesion).
