Resumen
En el siguiente trabajo se exponen algunos de los motivos y barreras que facilitan y dificultan la práctica de actividad física en niños y adolescentes. Se revisan los resultados obtenidos en diferentes investigaciones y se ofrecen un conjunto de recomendaciones destinadas a educadores, familiares y responsables de políticas sociales y sanitarias que tienen por objetivo mitigar o eliminar las barreras que impiden la participación en actividades de esta naturaleza. Finalmente, se describen algunos de los instrumentos de evaluación empleados en la literatura científica para conocer cuáles son las razones asociados al incremento y disminución de actividad física en la población infantil y juvenil.
The following work demonstrates some of the reasons that facilitate and barriers that hinder the practice of physical activity of both children and adolescents. They review the results obtained from different researches and present such results in conjunction with a set of recommendations destined for educators, families and responsible social and health politics that have an objective to mitigate or eliminate the barriers that impede the participation in physical activity. Finally, it describes some of the assessment tools used in scientific literature to understand the reasons associated with the increase and decrease of physical activity in children and youth.
