Resumen
La violencia de género es una problemática sufrida no solo por mujeres adultas, sino también por
mujeres adolescentes de todo el mundo. La principal causa de que la violencia machista se siga
dando en las relaciones de pareja en la adolescencia es porque esta es el resultado y la expresión del
patriarcado, un sistema de creencias, valores y estereotipos basados en la desigualdad entre los
sexos.
El ciclo de la violencia y la creencia en los mitos del amor romántico son algunos de los factores
que explican porque las adolescentes soportan el maltrato y tienen dificultades para salir de una
relación de abuso.
Las redes sociales son un nuevo medio usado por los adolescentes para ejercer la violencia de
género. Prácticas como el ciberacoso o el sexting usan las posibilidades que ofrece internet para
ejercer la violencia contra la mujer.
Sufrir violencia de género tiene graves consecuencias para las adolescentes, esta causa dependencia
emocional, anulación de la personalidad y graves daños en todas las áreas de la persona. En este
sentido, se hace necesaria la prevención de este problema.
Por ultimo, es importante mencionar que existen ciertas dificultades que hacen difícil detectar la
violencia de género. Los comportamientos sutiles con los que el agresor comienza a establecer el
dominio y abuso sobre la víctima o la normalización formas de control como los celos son factores
que dificultan la detección de la violencia de género en la adolescencia.
Gender violence is a problem suffered not only by adult women also by teenage women from all the world. Practices such as cyberbullying or sexting use the possibilities offered by internet to exercise violence against women. Suffering gender violence has serious consequences for adolescents, this causes emotional dependence, personality annulment and serious damage in all areas of the person. In this sense it is necessary to prevent this problem. Finally, it is important to say that there are certain difficulties that make it difficult to detect gender violence. The subtle behaviors with which the aggressor begins to establish dominance and abuse over the victim or the normalization of forms of control such as jealousy are factors that hinder the detection of gender violence in adolescence.
