Actitud de los estudiantes hacia la ciencia, determinación y teoría de la conspiración.

Abstract

Este estudio se centra en la actitud de los estudiantes hacia la ciencia y en cómo se relaciona con diferentes variables. En concreto, el objetivo es comprobar la relación que existe entre la actitud de los estudiantes hacia la ciencia y la Determinación de dichos estudiantes, así como la relación entre la actitud de los estudiantes hacia la ciencia y la creencia en la Teoría de la conspiración. Para ello, se ha usado una muestra de 144 participantes (56 de 1º grado universitario y 88 de 3º grado universitario) que realizaron cuatro cuestionarios, uno acerca de su actitud hacia la ciencia (TOSRA), dos acerca de la creencia en la Teoría de la conspiración (BCTI y GCBS) y uno acerca del nivel de Determinación (Grit-S). Los resultados muestran que existe una relación negativa entre una actitud positiva hacia la ciencia y la creencia en la Tª de la conspiración en los alumnos de 3º de grado universitario. Esto quiere decir que los alumnos con una actitud positiva hacia la ciencia tienden a la no creencia a la Tª de la conspiración. Además, los resultados también muestran que la dimensión “S” (Implicaciones sociales de la ciencia) de TOSRA es la que predice la tendencia a la no creencia en la Tª de la conspiración (BCTI y GCBS). Por otra parte, los resultados muestran que no existe relación entre una actitud positiva hacia la ciencia y la Determinación (Grit-S) tanto en 1ºde grado universitario cómo en 3º de grado universitario

This study focuses on students' attitude towards science and how it is related to different variables. Concretely, the objective is to verify the relationship between the attitude of students towards science and the determination of these students, as well as the relationship between the attitude of students towards science and the belief in the Conspiracy Theory. Therefore, a sample of 144 participants (56 from 1st year university and 88 from 3rd year university) was used, who completed four questionnaires, one about their attitude towards science (TOSRA), two about the belief in the Theory of the conspiracy (BCTI and GCBS) and one about the level of determination (Grit-S). The results show that there is a negative relationship between a positive attitude towards science and the belief in the T of conspiracy in 3rd grade university students. This means that students with a positive attitude towards science tend to disbelieve at the Tª of the conspiracy. In addition, the results also show that the “S” dimension (Social Implications of Science) of TOSRA is the one that predicts the tendency to disbelieve in the Tª of the conspiracy (BCTI and GCBS). On the other hand, the results show that there is no relationship between a positive attitude towards science and determination (Grit-S) both in the 1st year of university and in the 3rd year of university
