Conocimientos y actitudes de los docentes de Primaria sobre el maltrato infantil

Abstract

En el presente estudio, se realiza una investigación sobre el conocimiento que poseen docentes de Educación Primaria en activo de la capital de Jaén sobre el maltrato infantil, ya que se considera un fenómeno actual en la sociedad y la escuela es uno de los ambientes más próximos al menor. Para realizar la investigación se obtuvo una muestra de 20 docentes, de primer, segundo y tercer ciclo de Educación Primaria, con edades comprendidas entre los 25 y 59 años. A estos docentes se les administró una serie de cuestionarios, los cuales han fueron examinados a través de análisis descriptivos. Los resultados han permitido llegar a la conclusión de que un porcentaje elevado de docentes poseen conocimientos sobre este tema, aunque todavía persisten mitos en diferentes situaciones. Además, existe un moderado conocimiento del protocolo de actuación frente a casos de maltratos. Para finalizar, se discuten algunas actuaciones para paliar estos hechos.

In the present study, is an investigation into knowledge which possess primary teachers active in the capital of Jaén on child abuse, because that is considered a current phenomenon in the society and the school is one of the closest to the retail environments. A sample of 20 teachers from first, second and third cycle of primary education, aged between 25 and 59 years was obtained to conduct the research. These teachers were given a series of questionnaires, which have been examined through descriptive analysis. The results have allowed to reach the conclusion that a high percentage of teachers have knowledge on this subject, although still persistent myths in different situations. There is also a moderate knowledge of the Protocol compared to cases of abuse. Finally, some performances are discussed to alleviate these facts.
