Mujeres Extranjeras Reclusas: Vulnerabilidades y Problemáticas Específicas

Abstract

En estos últimos años, la documentación acerca de las reclusas extranjeras ha señalado que presentan unas características que las distinguen del resto de mujeres privadas de libertad y son un colectivo especialmente vulnerable debido a problemáticas que se encuentran a lo largo de su vida. Las reclusas extranjeras son un colectivo que principalmente están condenadas por delitos contra la salud pública y su condena es de más de 6 años, son mayoritariamente Latinoamericanas y algunas de las problemáticas que presentan son la falta de apoyo y arraigo y se encuentran en situación de irregularidad lo que lleva a que su situación penitenciaria sea más complicada que la del resto de personas. Por lo que tras este análisis, el trabajo social tiene un papel fundamental para poder trabajar las necesidades que presenten y conseguir un mayor bienestar en ellas
