[EN] From the onset of the disease, carers of people with Alzheimer's disease (AD) find themselves in a situation of constant change that generates an overload that affects their health and well-being. For this reason, there is an increasing number of interventions aimed at this group. The programme presented here proposes an intervention aimed at a small group of informal carers of AD, whose objective is to improve their well-being through optimism training. For this purpose, it is intended to reduce the overload they suffer, favour social support with the peer group and promote the use of appropriate coping strategies. To achieve these objectives, the programme is organised into 7 intervention sessions and 3 evaluation sessions (pre-test, post-test and follow-up after 6 months from the end of the programme). The desired results mainly focus on increasing optimism and the implementation of coping strategies as well as the improvement of psychological well-being and the reduction of perceived burden.
