Physical and cognitive development in childhood is an issue of utmost importance for the establishment of fundamental skills and abilities for later stages. This research has a cross-sectional design where we used a sample of 46 participants (21 boys and 25 girls) between 3 and 6 years of age. Cognitive performance was evaluated with the PORTAGE Guide; physical condition was measured by means of the following tests: horizontal jump, speed (4 x 10m), resistance (course navette) and manual pressure; and motor competence was evaluated with the MOBAK-KG battery tests. The results showed an association between the variables of cognitive performance, physical condition and motor competence in boys and girls aged 3 to 6 years.
