[ES] Esta propuesta de intervención surge de la necesidad de dotar herramientas a los individuos para el manejo del estrés durante la etapa de la adolescencia, ya que, es una época que es estresante por diversos motivos: se asumen nuevas tareas acordes a la edad, sube el nivel de exigencia académica, ... entre otros problemas. El presente estudio trata de llevar a la práctica un programa de inteligencia emocional con la finalidad de reducir los niveles de estrés y aumentar los niveles de autoestima en una muestra de sujetos adolescentes, para ello, se diseñó un programa de entrenamiento en competencias emocionales basado en el modelo de habilidad de Mayer y Salovey (1997) en el que los sujetos fueron entrenados durante 9 semanas y se realizó así mismo un seguimiento a los 6 meses con el objetivo de comprobar la efectividad del programa.
[EN] This intervention proposal arises from the need to provide tools to individuals for stress management during the adolescence stage, since it is a stage that generates stress for various reasons: new tasks according to age are assumed, the level of academic requirement, ... among other problems. The present study tries to put into practice an emotional intelligence program in order to reduce stress levels and increase self-esteem levels in a sample of adolescent subjects. To do this, a training program in emotional skills based on the ability model of Mayer and Salovey (1997) in which the subjects were trained for 9 weeks and a follow-up was also carried out at 6 months in order to verify the effectiveness of the program.
