APORTACIONES SOBRE EL PAPEL DE LA CABRA MONTÉS (CAPRA PYRENAICA) COMO DISPERSORA DE SEMILLAS EN SIERRA MÁGINA (JAÉN)

Abstract

(ES)Los grandes ungulados son especies clave en el funcionamiento de los ecosistemas por jugar un papel importante como vectores de semillas. Sus hábitos alimenticios (pastador y ramoneador) y sus largos trayectos, los hacen agentes dispersores de especies arbustivas y herbáceas de las cuales se alimentan. Este trabajo trata de determinar el número e identificar las especies de semillas que pasan a través del tracto digestivo de la cabra montés (Capra pyrenaica), para conocer su posible función como especie dispersora de semillas. Para alcanzar este objetivo se realizaron tres recogidas de muestras fecales de cabra montés durante los meses de diciembre de 2021 y enero y mayo de 2022 en el Paraje de las Siete Pilillas (Pegalajar, Jaén) situado dentro del Parque Natural de Sierra Mágina (Jaén).

(EN)Large ungulates like goats are one of those key species which join in the functioning of ecosystems because of its important role as seed vectors. They are considered dispersal agents of scrubs and herbaceous species for several reasons: they are meanly browser animals and they walk long journeys into their territories. This project tries to determinate and identify the number of seed species which pass through the digestive system of the Iberian Ibex Capra pyrenaica) with the intention of carrying out a more in-depth study of its function on the ecosystems. To achieve the main objetive, a non-invasive collection of feces from Ibex was carried out. This process was performed in three different collections during the months of autumn, winter and spring in the area of Siete Pilillas, Jaén, located in the foothills of the Natural Park of Sierrra Mágina (Jaén).
