Úbeda, ciudad patrimonio de la humanidad: influencia de la declaración en su desarrollo económico local

Abstract

[ES]Ser declarada como ciudad Patrimonio de la Humanidad puede tener influencia en la actividad de una ciudad, así como en su desarrollo. Cada ciudad tiene vías diferentes para crear desarrollo local, en nuestro caso, Úbeda lo crea principalmente a través de la agricultura y del sector servicios. Especialmente, dentro del sector servicios es el sector turístico el que más ha cambiado tras la declaración de la ciudad como Patrimonio de la Humanidad. Para llegar a esta conclusión, se realiza una síntesis de diferentes variables referentes a la ciudad en el siglo XXI, con especial hincapié en variables relacionadas con el turismo. Este cambio del sector turístico ha llegado a crear desarrollo en la ciudad, pero no el deseado debido a la crisis financiera que sufrió el país junto con diversos errores en la gestión de la declaración por parte de las instituciones locales.

[EN]Being declared as World Heritage City may have influence on the activity of a city, as well as in it development. Each city has different ways to create local development, in our case, Úbeda creates it mainly through agriculture and service sector. Especially, within the service sector is the tourism sector that has changed most after the declaration of the city as a World Heritage Site. To obtain this conclusion, a synthesis of different variables of the city in the XXI century is made, with special emphasis on variables related to tourism. This change in the tourism sector has come to create development in the city, but not the desired change due to financial crisis suffered by the country along with several mistakes in the management of the declaration by local institutions.
