Optimismo y satisfacción vital en docentes y docentes en prácticas

Abstract

[ES]La presente investigación examina la relación existente entre satisfacción vital (SV), optimismo y pesimismo con los variables género (hombre vs mujer) y tipo de docente (docente en prácticas vs docente en ejercicio). La muestra está compuesta por 70 docentes y docentes en prácticas de dos centros de Educación Infantil y Primaria de la ciudad de Jaén. Los docentes completaron el test de optimismo Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) y la Escala de Satisfacción con la Vida (SWLS-R). Los resultados revelan la existencia de diferencias significativas (p<.05) entre la SV y el pesimismo en función del género siendo estas favorables a la mujeres y entre el optimismo y el tipo de docente a favor de los docentes en prácticas.

[EN]The present study examined the relation between life satisfaction (SV), optimism and pessimism with the variables gender and type of teacher (teachers doing profesional practice or teachers exercising the profession). The sample consists in 70 teachers who are in two schools in Jaén. The teachers completed the survey of optimism Life Orientation Test (LOT-R) and the Scale of Satisfaction with Life (SWLS-R). The surveys show us a positive correlation between SV and pessimism with the female gender or the optimism with teachers doing professional practice.
