Resumen
[ES]Este trabajo pretende mostrar cómo la integración de la dimensión artística en el aula
de ELE puede favorecer la competencia comunicativa en la lengua meta y, al mismo
tiempo, puede despertar el interés del alumno por el arte y fomentar su motivación.
A lo largo de esta memoria, reflexionamos sobre la importancia y la influencia de la
cultura en la enseñanza-aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera, así como la presencia
del arte en el panorama actual de ELE.
Presentamos una explotación didáctica sobre pintura, orientada a alumnos de un nivel
pre-intermedio (A2+ del Marco Común Europeo de Referencia) para demostrar que el
estudio del arte pictórico es posible en cualquier etapa del aprendizaje de ELE.
El uso de recursos visuales, todos ellos material auténtico – relacionados con Dalí y
su obra, mayoritariamente- y, una visita al museo del artista, como complemento
curricular, forman parte de una unidad didáctica, que combina lengua y cultura, con la
experiencia estética, impulsando la imaginación del estudiante, el desarrollo del
pensamiento crítico y la reflexión sobre su propia cultura mientras activa sus destrezas
comunicativas y adquiere conocimientos artísticos.

[EN]The master dissertation aims at showing how the integration of the artistic dimension in the Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL) classroom can promote communicative competence in the target language, at the same time; it arouses students' interest in art and fosters their motivation. Along by this dissertation we reflect on the importance and influence of culture, in the teaching-learning process of a foreign language, as well as its presence in the current SFL outlook. We present a teaching proposal on painting aimed at students on a pre-intermediate level (A2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference) in order to demonstrate that the study of pictorial art is possible at any stage of the SFL learning process. The use of visual resources, all of them authentic material -mostly related to Dalí and his artwork- and, a visit to the artist's museum, as a curricular complement, both become part of a teaching unit which combines language and culture, boost students’ imagination and invite them to reflect on their own culture while activating their communicative skills and gaining artistic knowledge.
