La enseñanza de la ciudad es uno de los temas propuestos en el currículo fijado por la LOE 2/2006. A pesar de que la enseñanza del espacio urbano se realiza en el segundo curso de la etapa de secundaria, es en el tercer curso, cuando se aborda la ciudad desde una perspectiva más crítica, tratando todos los aspectos relacionados con sus transformaciones y desigualdades. Mediante este enfoque didáctico se pretende la formación de un alumnado mucho más crítico y concienciado del mundo que le rodea, adoptando mediante el estudio de la ciudad una actitud de respeto y conciencia social.
The teaching of the city is one of the topics proposed in the curriculum established by the LOE 2/2006. Although the teaching of urban space is made in the second year of the secondary level, is in the third year, when the city was approached from a more critical perspective, dealing with all aspects of their transformations and inequalities. Through this educational approach we claim to form students more critical and conscious of the world around them, adopting by studying the city an attitude of respect and social awareness.
