Este trabajo está centrado en explorar el alcance de la empatía en el ámbito del Trabajo Social. Se analiza por
su contribución al bienestar social y emocional de las personas, así como por su influencia en la efectividad
de acciones ejecutadas por los/as expertos/as del Trabajo Social. La investigación realizada acentúa la
relevancia de que los/as profesionales del Trabajo Social dispongan de habilidades empáticas firmes, que les
faciliten comprender las experiencias y sentimientos de los/as usuarios/as desde su perspectiva, sin
valoraciones previas. Se realiza una revisión completa de toda la bibliografía disponible sobre el tema, examinando los desafíos que pueden presentarse al practicar la empatía, como el desgaste emocional y la fatiga por compasión. This work is focused on exploring the scope of empathy in the field of Social Work. It is analyzed for its contribution to the social and emotional well-being of individuals, as well as its influence on the effectiveness of actions carried out by Social Work professionals. The conducted research emphasizes the importance of Social Work professionals having strong empathy skills, enabling them to understand users' experiences and feelings from their perspective, without prior judgments. A comprehensive review of all available literature on the subject is conducted, examining the challenges that may arise when practicing empathy, such as emotional burnout and compassion fatigue. Emphasizing the need to establish appropriate professional boundaries to avoid emotional exhaustion
