CONTROL COGNITIVO Y REGULACIÓN EMOCIONAL EN LAS ADICCIONES

Abstract

En este trabajo se pretende analizar la relación que tienen dos componentes de la inteligencia emocional como son el control cognitivo y la regulación emocional con las adicciones. Para ello,se hace una búsqueda en la literatura para establecer primeramente cuál es la relación existente entre control cognitivo y regulación emocional, dando cuenta de que son dos componentes que van de la mano y que el control o no control del primero, afecta positiva o negativamente al segundo. Según esto, la explicación en las adicciones es algo más compleja, ya que estas dos variables no son las únicas que participan en el razonamiento de este fenómeno, pero sí es cierto que tienen un importante papel en lo que llamaríamos la parte psicológica de las adicciones, teniendo una gran fuerza en la conducta adictiva.

This study pretends to analyse the relationship between two components of emotional intelligence as it is cognitive control and emotional regulation in one hand, and addictions in the other one. For this, first of all it is necessary to seek for in the literature to establish the existing relationship between cognitive control and emotional regulation, realizing that they are two components which work together and the control or no control of the first one, affect positive or negatively in the second one. According to this, the explanation in addictions is further complex than this due to these two variables are not the only ones which take part in the reasoning of this phenomenon, but it is true that they have an important role in what we call the psychological part of addictions, having a great strength in the addictive behaviour.
