[ES]Las plantas son esenciales para la vida en el planeta y de su existencia depende la del ser humano y el resto de los seres vivos. Sin embargo, a pesar de su importancia, suelen pasar desapercibidas y su estudio entre los escolares llama poco la atención. Por ello, es necesario mejorar el proceso de enseñanza‐aprendizaje de las plantas para conseguir atraer su atención entre el alumnado, aumentar el interés por su estudio y que el aprendizaje de los nuevos contenidos sea significativo. Para conseguirlo, se desarrolla una propuesta de intervención educativa basada en el modelo constructivista, que contribuye a la formación académica y personal del alumnado, aumenta su interés por las plantas y el respeto a la naturaleza, mediante el uso de metodologías activas, prácticas y en contacto directo con el entorno natural, como el aprendizaje por indagación, el aprendizaje cooperativo y un recurso educativo integrador como el itinerario didáctico.
[EN]Plants are essential for life on the planet and their existence and the life of humans and other living beings depends on their existence. However, despite their importance, they tend to go unnoticed and their study attracts little attention among students. For this reason, it is necessary to improve the teaching‐learning process of plants in order to attract their attention among student, increase interest in their study and so that the learning of new content is meaningful. To achieve this, an educational intervention proposal based on the constructivist model is developed, which contributes to the academic and personal training of students, increases their interest in plants and respect for nature, through the use of methodologies active, practical and in direct contact with the natural environment, such as inquiry learning, cooperative learning, and an inclusive educational resource such as the didactic itinerary.
