“Estamos rodeados”. Una situación de aprendizaje de microbiología.

Abstract

El presente documento tiene como objetivo explorar la relevancia de los contenidos de microbiología en el aprendizaje de primer año de Bachillerato y proponer una situación de aprendizaje aplicable en el aula. Se reseña la relevancia de la comprensión de los microorganismos en la salud, el medio ambiente y la industria y cómo su inclusión curricular, promueve el pensamiento científico y el desarrollo de habilidades de investigación. A la vez, se subraya la necesidad de una formación docente adecuada para implementar metodologías que estimulen el interés de los estudiantes en esta disciplina científica. Con este fin, se propone una situación de aprendizaje basada en proyectos, donde los estudiantes investigan aspectos del ámbito microbiológico, recopilan datos y presentan sus hallazgos como medio de adquisición del perfil competencial de la etapa, priorizando un entorno de aprendizaje activo y significativo, que fomente el pensamiento crítico, la colaboración y las habilidades de comunicación.

The present document aims to explore the relevance of microbiology content in the learning process of first-year students in high school and propose an applicable learning situation in the classroom. The significance of understanding microorganisms in health, the environment, and the industry is highlighted, as well as how their inclusion in the curriculum promotes scientific thinking and the development of research skills. Furthermore, the need for adequate teacher training to implement methodologies that stimulate students' interest in this scientific discipline is emphasized. To this end, a project-based learning situation is proposed, wherein students investigate aspects of the microbiological field, collect data, and present their findings as a means of acquiring the competency profile of the stage. The prioritization of an active and meaningful learning environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills is emphasized.
