Competencia social y rendimiento académico

Abstract

En el presente trabajo, se presenta una investigación de tipo descriptiva y correlacional en la que se propone analizar la posible relación entre la Competencia Social y el Rendimiento Académico en Educación Primaria, y si el género afecta a dicha relación. El trabajo se ha estructurado en dos grandes bloque, por un lado una revisión bibliográfica acerca del tema y por otro lado la investigación empírica. En esta última parte, están contenidos todos los datos conseguidos mediante un test sociométrico, los resultados obtenidos y por último las conclusiones de los objetivos que se planteaban en el inicio del trabajo. Las conclusiones obtenidas fueron la existencia afirmativa de la relación entre competencia social y rendimiento académico y que esta relación se hacía más fuerte a medida que los cursos avanzaban pero no fue posible determinar si el género afectaba a dicha relación.

This academic work presents a descriptive and correlational investigation in which it proposed to analyse the possible relationship between social competence and academic performance in primary school and whether gender affects this relationship. The work is structured in two main blocks, on the hand the literature search about the topic, and the other hand empirical research. In this last part, are contained all the data collected by a sociometric test, the results obtained and finally the conclusions of the objectives that presented at the beginning of the work. The conclusions were affirmative existence of the relathionship between social competence and academic performance and that this relationship grew stronger as the courses progressed but it was not possible to determinate whether gender affect this relationship.
