ASOCIACIÓN DE TESTS DE FUERZA CON MEMORIA, AUTOCONCEPTO Y HABILIDADES SOCIALES EN INFANTIL. DIFERENCIA EN FUNCIÓN DE LA EDAD Y SEXO

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar la asociación del test de fuerza con respecto a la memoria, autoconcepto y habilidades sociales. La muestra estaba formada por 240 sujetos de Educación Infantil (117 chicos y 137 chicas). La fuerza fue medida mediante los test de prensión manual derecha e izquierda y el salto de longitud. Para analizar las variables psicológicas se utilizó para el autoconcepto el test PAI, para la memoria el RIAS y para las habilidades sociales un test de escala. Como covariables se usaron la edad, sexo y nivel educativo de las madres. Los resultados mostraron que solo existe relación significativa respecto a la variable de fuerza, medida por el salto de longitud, con la variable de habilidades sociales (β = ,060; error estándar [EE]=,025; p = ,018).

[EN] The objective of the present study was to analyze the association of the strength test with respect to memory, self- concept and social skills. The sample consisted of 240 subjects from Early Childhood Education (117 boys and 137 girls). The Strength was measured by the right and left hand grip tests and the long jump. To analyze the psychological variables, the PAI test was used for self-concept, the RIAS for memory and a scale test for social skills. Mothers' age, sex, and educational level were used as covariates. The results show that there is only a significant relationship with respect to the strength variable, measured by the long jump, with the social skills variable (β = .060; standard error [SE] = .025; p = .018).
