The primary objective of this TFG is the production of alkali-activated cements based on C&D waste, using alternative activators and incorporating biochar as a carbon sink. These materials will be studied as a substitute for conventional Portland cement used in the construction sector, as alkali-activated cements generate a lower CO2 footprint during their production compared to traditional cements. This TFG consists of an experimental phase and a theoretical phase. During the experimental phase, carried out in the laboratory, the production of alkali-activated cements is conducted, along with a series of physical and mechanical tests. In the theoretical phase, an analysis is performed based on the data obtained from the laboratory tests, and a brief economic study is also developed.
