Agrivoltaics, understood as the joint integration of PV with agricultural land, is a technique capable of solving the main troubles of humanity through the Water- Food- Energy nexus. On the other hand, the transparency of PV modules is going to be essential to boost agricultural yield by competing with energy yield. The aim of this TFM is to review the semi-transparent PV materials used in APV. Throughout the report, the state of the art of APV technology and the study of PV materials currently used will be reviewed, so that we are able to analyze several case studies of semitransparent technology, and conclude with a comparison table that help us to develop our own decisions when installing an APV system.
