Resumen
(ES) El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de manifestar el síndrome de Estocolmo como violencia de
género al tener ciertas similitudes la situación de secuestro con este tipo de violencia. Para ello,
se deben tener en cuenta determinados aspectos básicos del amor en la pareja heterosexual,
pues son los responsables del tipo de relación. Seguidamente, se muestran como incidentes que
convierten la relación en una fuente de violencia los mitos románticos en las primeras
relaciones, los factores de riesgo de ser una mujer maltratada o un hombre maltratador y, los
tipos de violencia generados por la desigualdad de poder. Por último, este trabajo abarca la
violencia de pareja como desencadenante del síndrome de Estocolmo debido a la dependencia
emocional creada por y hacia la pareja, así como la supervivencia de la víctima. En este sentido,
se denomina síndrome de Estocolmo doméstico a la violencia ejercida por el hombre hacia la
mujer.
(EN) The main aim of this thesis is looking at the Stockholm syndrome inside of the gender violence framework, as kidnapping shares some features with this kind of violence. First of all, specific basic aspects about love in heterosexual couple must be known to understand what type of relationship will be developed between them. In second instance, romantic myths in first relationships, the risk factors of being an abused woman or an abusive man and the kind of violence produced by power inequality are considered as sign that change the relationship in a source of violence. Finally, the review focuses on the intimate partner violence as unleash of Stockholm syndrome because of the emotional dependence created by and to the partner, as well as the survival of the victim. In this sense, domestic Stockholm syndrome is used to refer the situation where man perform violence on women.
