Resumen
En el presente proyecto se estudiará la posibilidad ofrecida por la tecnología presente en una FPGA para la implementación de aplicaciones digitales de un relativamente alto nivel de complejidad.
Para ello, se desarrollará una aplicación de considerable envergadura, mediante el uso de programación en código VHDL, recurso que permite al usuario definir un hardware específico en el interior de una FPGA. Se estudiará el hardware externo empleado como soporte para la realización del proyecto, así como el código VHDL encargado de gobernar las funciones que realizarán los distintos elementos internos programables de la FPGA.
The main objective of this project will be making a research that will take into consideration the possibilities provided by the technology available in an FPGA in order to implement digital applications of a relatively high level of complexity. In order to achieve that, a complex application will be developed making use of VHDL programming, a resource that allows the user to define some specific hardware inside an FPGA. Some other aspects will be studied such as the external hardware needed for a proper performance of the whole application, and the VHDL code in charge of managing the functions executed by the programmable internal elements in the FPGA.
