Creatividad en Estudiantes Universitarios

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo fue valorar la fiabilidad de una prueba de creatividad convergente, el Test de Asociados. Remotos (RAT), en una muestra de 101 estudiantes universitarios. Para ello se utilizará una versión del RAT y otras medidas de pensamiento convergente como los problemas tipo insight y el test de factor G de Cattell, junto con tareas de fluidez asociativa y el test de usos alternativos de Guilford como medida de creatividad divergente. Los resultados del estudio muestran que existe una relación significativa entre la puntuación obtenida en el RAT con las medidas de problemas insight e inteligencia fluida, lo que indica una buena validez convergente con dichas pruebas. Por el contrario, el RAT no correlacionó con el test de usos alternativos, que es una prueba de creatividad divergente. Es decir, presentó validez discriminante con dicha prueba. Estos resultados se discuten con los obtenidos en otros estudios en los que también se encuentran patrones similares de relaciones con la prueba RAT.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the reliability of a convergent creativity test, the Remote Associates Test (RAT), in a sample of 101 university students. This will use a version of RAT and other convergent thinking measures such as insight problems and the Cattell factor G test, along with associative fluency tasks and Guilford's alternative use test as a measure of divergent creativity. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between the score obtained in the RAT with measures of insight problems and fluid intelligence, indicating a good convergent validity with these tests. In contrast, the RAT did not correlate with the test of alternative uses, which is a test of divergent creativity. That is, it presented discriminant validity with this test. These results are discussed with those obtained in other studies in which similar patterns of relationships with the RAT test are also found.
